CNN Hologram?

Asked by intro24 (976points) | asked November 4th, 2008 | 7 responses | “Great Question” (0points) | Flag as…

I was just watching CNN and they had a reporter join the main studio live via hologram like Princess Leia. Did anyone else see this? Is there really a hologram in the studio or is is a CGI trick? It kinda looks fake but I think it’s been done before and CNN seems to be no stranger to technology. What do you think?

It looked corny.

And what happened to her shoes?! They can’t hologram project shoes. They should just stick to the multi collaboration touch interface wall and stop calling it the “Magic Wall”. Viewers aren’t yokels. Some of us have touch screen phones

I liked it. It was fun and gave some important levity to the events of the evening.

Fox News explained green screen technology at some point during the evening, too.
It’s hard to fill up so many hours if they’re trying to be reserved in the guessing game.

Plus, there was no Tim Russert this year to dazzle the audience with his mathematics.
