I need help changing a setting on Mac OS X...

My dog walked across my laptop somehow changing a setting i am not aware of.. Icons on my desktop now have a thick black border around them when I highlight them.. Also in the apple menu, restart appears two times, as does shut down and log out…

I don't now, but can you drag those icons out the apple menu in the Trash?

I don't think that there is a setting for that. Something is screwy. Have you tried restarting?

whew got it... it was the voiceover utility
