I need to dial *99 before I can dial out on my fax machine (The fax part of a Brother 7820N), but I can’t for the life of me figure out how to set it up globally on the machine.

With our fax machine you can’t set it up globally like that. Our solution, that should work for you is to set your access code on a speed dial number.

So on a Brother machine, I think you can do it one of two ways, either with a quick touch button or a speed dial number. Basically set quick touch button 1 to ”*99”. Then when you go to send something, hit button 1 then dial the number and click start.
