iPhone standby problems anybody?

Asked by gsxaddict (27points) September 4th, 2007 from iPhone

everytime my iPhone is in standby mode my signal drops to one bar and sometimes no service. Also to add even on one bar when I try calling my phone it goes straight to voicemail. Anybody else having the same problem? id return the phone to have it replaced but i dropped it once and has two dimples in the rear panel. I hope this problem is something that’s common and can be fixed by a new firmware (fingers crossed)

Try to return it anyway. That seems like a weird problem to have.

I have the same problem. Did you find a solution?

Well the bar drops may be due to the phone trying to save power or the environment around it once it’s in sleep mode (in your pocket maybe?), but it sounds like it’s a hardware problem, try returning it, doubt they’ll notice the cosmetic scaring enough to care.
