How do i keep my dogs off of my pool cover?

My pool just got closed, and I have two small dogs who love to run around out back. Unfortunately the pool is smack in the middle of the yard and they discovered they can run across it, and wrestle around on it. Any ideas on how to keep them off?

We use a collar that sprays citronella via remote. It only takes my dog one spray for training purposes.
