Does anybody know how long the testing process is when you give blood to blood banks?

Usually about a month. It can be as fast as two weeks, I think. When I gave blood, I got my blood type in about two weeks. When my friend gave, he got a note saying he could never give again a month later. It depends on what happens. He threw up a (false) positive for HIV, so they had to retest his blood (I believe twice). My blood sent up no weird signs. I assume that’s why I got my info sooner.

They test the blood within 3 days from when you donate, I don’t know how long it takes them to send out the info.

When they say “everything” they’re ONLY talking about testing for the problems that would make your blood unusable, i.e., hepatitis and HIV. They’re not testing it for diabetes, or kidney problems or things like that.

40 mins for regular tests. but 4 days to do all other tests for viruses such as HIV and for Drugs. having any drug such as medicine for the past 3 days before donation will make the blood useless. and having any other forbidden DRUGs for the past 40 days can be found in your blood.

Not “ANY” medicine will render the blood useless. If that WERE the case, hardly anyone could donate blood.
