Does anyone know the best way to figure out traffic estimates from San Francisco to Tahoe (North Lake/Alpine Meadows) and Ski forecast in an easy way?

Trying to find an easy way to decide on whether to go to Tahoe this weekend. I know traffic is a mess in Sacramento but I can’t find an easy way to make a decision based on traffic and snow forecasts.

As for travel times, I’m not touching Bay Area traffic ;)

I used to live in Alameda, and usually made it in around 5 hours at worst, provide the pass was open.

In case you have an iPhone, getting directions on it will consider current traffic conditions.
