Is there a way to find someone's cell phone number?

Asked by omfgTALIjustIMDu (9272points) October 7th, 2007

It is EXTREMELY important that I somehow find someone’s cell phone number. Here’s the catch: none of her friends who I can get in touch with have the number and her friend supposedly got the phone for her so I don’t know who’s name the plan is under or with which company or anything of the sort. Is there still some way in the world to obtain a number?

You may have already thought of this, but you could ask her.

Haha, well that’s kind of the issue….she ran away and no one knows where she could have possibly gone and she hasn’t called anyone and it’s been a few days now. Police already know.

Yikes. In that case, the police should call the phone company and find out whether the phone is in her name; if so, they can get the number. You should share all the information you have with the police and they can attempt to contact her and make sure she’s OK—they will be able to find a way to contact her. Or you can contact the friend who might have gotten her the phone. You should be able to find a way to contact someone who will be able to contact her.

No one seems to know who got her the phone or which company it is, including her parents and siblings. It’s a sticky situation…there is barely any information to pass around.

You could always try a local number search or cellphone number search online. Or try calling and tricking the customer service of the provider if they will give you the number.
