Simple conversion from Lat/Lng to NZMG or NZTM?

I’ve been researching the topic, but can’t find a simple explanation of how to convert from latitude / longitude to either of the standard New Zealand projections. Anyone here a cartographer? FWIW, I only need about 3 – 5 meters resolution.

Well, right, I saw that. It’s got a bunch of advanced maths in it that I wasn’t able to distil down into an algorithm I could express in JavaScript. After talking with folks who know more about this stuff than I do, I decided it wasn’t worth trying to do on my own. Thanks, though!
