How to generate traffic to my blog?

the legal way is to have quality content, use link exchange programs (blogrush.com) on your site, distributing your content via other means like rss, dapper, facebook, etc. You can submit your stories on social news websites like digg.com, reddit, etc.

This isn’t really a trick and it’s completely legal, but what my friend (an active digg user) posts mirror images of pictures from digg on his blog and then posts the links on digg comments. Its useful for the digg community and at the same time brings in 1000–2000 unique visitors a day
