Accident refers to an unintentional or unexpected occurrence, while incident can mean simply an event or occurrence

the accident is well, an accident and an incident is, well, an incident!

Okay, a better answer is an accident is something you didn’t mean to do and an incident is when you might have or might not have meant it. Also, an accident is usually bigger than in incident. An incident is minor. Oh, and you forgot about the unsident!
