Injured bird, what do I do?

Call animal control. They’ll come and pick up the bird. They may or may not decide to euthanize the poor guy. :(

How big was the bird?
If it was a baby then I would wrap a little cloth tight around it so it won’t move

@Augustlan Tried calling the local wild bird control call center and it was closed. @Tink1113 It’s not a baby, a regular sized bird.

Is there an emergency vet hospital you could call? They’d probably know the best thing to do.

Called the emergency vet number, receptionist gave a new number because they don’t take wild birds and have no clue what to do. Going to try the number the receptionist gave us now.

Woops. He was just hopping and when he was put outside he jumped around and faceplanted. :( No flying for him.

A lot of the time when birds fly into buildings they get stunned for a little while. I’ve taken a few birds into my care that have flown into things. Usually after a few hours they’re able to take off on their own. If the little guy can’t fly by tonight keep him someplace where a cat won’t be able to get to him, and let him try again in the morning.

@MrMontpetit I hope that’s the case. I had something similar happen to me earlier this evening.
