Why is windows update page so slow lately?

I do manual updates weekly and notice that over the past few months, they are taking longer and longer, even to load the update page. Does anyone know what’s going on? I’m running winXp.

Try cleaning out your Cache, Cookies, History, etc…

Those are all clean. This is happening on all of our office pc’s and my home pc, not just one machine.
