Sync a iPhone's contacts with Outlook?

I have a iPhone and I am planing to sync with outlook. Problem is that outlook is empty of contacts and the iPhone has all the contacts. If I sync it, will the contacts be copied over from the iPhone to Outlook or wiped?

Read this . I’d just back up all your contacts before hand to be safe. Like export the contacts to your address book and then maybe add then on outlook.
