Do I have to change my Boost number if I moved across the country?

I recently moved from Miami to San Francisco and I still have my Boost Mobile phone with my Miami number. Since Boost recently expanded their coverage area, I don’t believe I’m roaming while I’m here. Is it worth it for me to change my number or just keep my Miami number?

My daughter lives in Malibu, and has a Massachusetts area code. I don’t see how it makes a difference, especially with services available now like Google Voice (formerly Grand Central.)
