I just thought I would congratulate you before I join the 500 club myself. In 6 months you got 10k and made moderator, I always knew your answers were highly valued but now we have proof :)

Sorry I’m late, but I’m glad I made it. It is an honor to be able to share kudos for @The_Compassionate_Heretic.

It has recently become a tradtion for me (with the encouragement of many of you), to share my feelings of fellow jellies when they hit these lurve milestones. I like to describe how I perceive them based on their fluther responses and what I pick up from the personal stories they share of good times and bad times, successes and failures, their relationships, their occupations and their passions.

And most of you are quite revealing in many of these aspects and are “easy marks” (or “easy @Judi‘s” as the case may be) for my piecing together descriptions that have proven to be, by your own accord, pretty “right on.” Perhaps I’m a fairly good judge of character, largely thanks, no doubt, to my longevity (55+ years) on this earth, but frankly, I’m very intrigued when you share personal experiences and thanks to a very photographic memory, I just put those little memory bytes together and assemble in a package I call “you.”

How does one do that for @The_Compassionate_Heretic? You can’t. He shares little to nothing of his personal life. Don’t get me wrong, his posts are nearly always excellent, but they are presented in a “matter-of-fact” manner that do speak volumes in just a few short words, but never, to my recollection, explicitly contain a personal anecdote or story or share a personal experience.

Like his responses, his questions are always interesting and thought provoking. But, he is in fact the guy who asked the question, “Why are people so forthcoming with the most intimate details of their lives on the internet?” Well, he certainly is not one of those people. But, I respect his privacy and like the guy very much. He is very bright, probably successful, very level-headed (which happens to make him an excellent moderator) and an all around good guy. The last point, of course, may be biased by my recollection of him being a fan (as, am I), of the Lakers and/or the Raiders. So, I know the man has good taste!

Congratulations @The_Compassionate_Heretic, on your 10K lurve milestone and your entry into the 10K Lurve Lounge. It is a very well deserved achievement that you rightly earned and, of which, you should be very proud. You have very good company up there…do enjoy yourself.
