Why such hostility with political issues?

I wish we took this aggression and used it for positive change. I applaud the fact that more & more people get into debates on politics. That creates awareness and it also makes the people that know nothing about the subject to take notice and educate themselves as well. Too bad these same voices get silent when needed most. What (if any) way can our opinions make a difference? I just hope the momentum of (factual) knowledge continues and spreads. No matter what issues, even everyone disagrees with eachother. Let’s keep it rolling.
