Yes, but you’ll lose most of your extensions, which haven’t been updated for Firefox 3 yet.

I haven’t tried it on a PC, but on my Mac I was able to install them side-by-side and import the settings. In this way, I was able to revert back to Firefox 2 and keep my settings and extensions when I wanted to.
