chinesepod.com has really nice podcasts, though their site is kind of a drag with all the pushy up-selling. Guess they’ve gotta make a buck somehow.

chinese-forums.com is a very lively community of Mandarin learners with a lot of useful information, at least on this site you can turn the ads off.

italki.com is also a large community of folks who ostensibly will chat with you for free. Never actually tried it though.

i humbly recommend you check out chinese language blog. some of the stuff we write about is silly, but i hope it’s interesting to someone who wants to think about chinese and learn it in a non-text book sort of way. i recently added an audio recording with an actual chinese person speaking local beijing hua. i hope folks think it’s cool. if you like it, please subscribe by rss or email.
