Has anyone heard from Cak lately? I'm just wondering how she's doing?

She posted a couple weeks ago on her profile
”I haven’t forgotten about anyone. I’ve just been pretty sick and also focusing on my sister. (family, too!) Chemo is kicking my tail in the worst way. I’m seeing a new doctor next week, I really would like to improve my odds!”
I am not connected to her on Facebook, though, so maybe there’s something more recent that someone can tell us about…
There have not been any Facebook updates for quite some time, which is rather troubling to me.
Let’s keep her in our hearts and in our minds.
I haven’t heard from her.

I am hoping she and her sister are on the mend. I will be orange as long as it takes to see our cak back!
I sent a query to Avvooooooo a couple of days ago because I thought she was staying in touch with Chris, but I haven’t heard back. That concerned me too.
I myself have been wondering about her health… That woman’s seriously gotten me thinking for her for some reason…
I believe something happened to her sister, but I can’t remember…I do hope she and her sister are okay.
@casheroo Her sister was in a bad car accident and was in intensive care.

I just signed on, it’s been a rough couple of weeks. I can’t sleep – bone pain. I’m not staying on, but I haven’t forgotten about anyone. I’ll talk to you all soon.

@Jeruba Sorry for the long time responding, bathroom renovation means less computer time. Hitting my left index finger with hammer while removing drywall exponentially reduced my desire to type. Better now, but still not great!

Dealing with a lot of things lately – health (crappy), family (a bit frayed by the stress) and knowing the holidays are around the corner and dad is no longer here. However, there is a silver lining, I’m eating cheesecake.

A Facebook update from 8:40PM on Nov. 9 “Has realized that it is entirely possible to fry one’s brain on all the cancer drugs. I’m leaving post-it notes everywhere to remind myself where I am, who I am and what I need to be doing.”
Huh. I have to do the same thing with the Post-It notes, and I haven’t ever had chemo. However, I do live with teenagers.
Any update now at the first weekend in December?

Chris Anne Why, oh why is my son ADDING to his Christmas List? My daughter asks for one thing – and it’s big. The boy wants little things…and lots of ‘em. I have a feeling I’m going to be in a Nerf War soon.

“To chemo or not to chemo….that is the question. Hmmmm…got a lot of thinking to do.”
As of yesterday, she has decided to not do any more chemo. She’s going to go through the holidays to enjoy them (and her family!) and then start looking at experimental treatments.

Yep. I heard from her…wait, I am CAK!
I was in the hospital for an extended stay. Pretty touch and go for a little while there, but I’m home again and hanging in there. Yes, the cancer is still there and yes it has spread. The doctors aren’t encouraging, but then again, I was “dying within days” in late January and early February and guess what..I’m still kicking!
