Is there public transportation from Los Cabos to Cabo Pulmo, Baja?

I fly to Los Cabos tomorrow morning and I am trying to get to Cabo Pulmo by the evening to meet up with a friend. I assumed that there would be a bus or something. But as I am looking in my lonely planet guide, there is no mention of public transit from Los Cabos to Cabo Pulmo. Does anyone know if this is true? I really don’t want to rent a car. Is there a shuttle or a truck? Is it safe to hitchhike?
