@jmah – Have you had it ice cold? Limoncello (they call it Limoncino in my mom’s region) is a wonderful after-dinner digestive. Mmmm. I love lemon!

@MissAnthrope, My girlfriend and I had a few shots the other night. Straight outta the fridge, though. I’ll pop it in the freezer and drink it ice cold next time. :)

Mix with iced tea! Sweet tea if you like that kind of thing (and I do).

It think it goes best cold, straight, and sipped with a rich dessert like white cake.

Limoncello Martini

Ice
3 ounces vodka (6 tablespoons)
1 ounce limoncello (2 tablespoons)
1 teaspoon simple syrup (see note)
Lemon twists

Fill a shaker with ice. Add vodka, limoncello and simple syrup. Shake well and strain into oversized martini glasses. Garnish each with a lemon twist.

NOTE: Simple syrup is made by combining 2 parts granulated sugar with 1 part water. Simmer, stirring, over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Chill before using.
