Is there a keyboard shortcut to open your Downloads folder in Mac OS X?
I know the shortcuts for apps (command + shift + a), and utilities (command + shift + a), etc.
Is there one for the downloads folder? I tried (command + shift + d), but it seems that command is reserved for the desktop folder. I also tried created a custom keyboard shortcut in the keyboard preferences using (command + shift + d) but it still defaults to the desktop folder.
Any ideas?

Which download folder were you talking about exactly..? Im probably asking an incredibly stupid and obvious question but…
I use quicksilver to do the same thing.
Quicksilver is probably the best app out there for creating commands that don’t exist (at least those that aren’t as easy to find like this one!).
Check it out here:http://www.blacktree.com/
Although not a built-in OS X method, you can use the excellent shareware app Default Folder to accomplish this and a whole lot more.
I created an opt-shift-d shortcut using Spark for this. Remember if you want to replace the desktop shortcut, then you must also disable if in the Pref pane or they will conflict.
