Who designed Barack Obama's web site?

Asked by sferik (6121points) February 8th, 2008

Barack Obama’s web site is really impressive. I can’t find any traces of a designer or firm. Does anyone know who worked on it?

According to a comment following this article (http://www.bivingsreport.com/2008/the-evolution-of-barack-obamas-campaign-website/), the site was designed by Blue State Digital (http://www.bluestatedigital.com/). However, Obama’s website is not included in their portfolio, so I don’t know if it’s true.

I have also heard it was done by Blue State Digital.. But from different sources.

And I would like to add that the site is fantastic. From a design and usability perspective.

I also recently discovered that Obama’s signature “O” is the product of Chicago-based branding firm Sender.

I am a Denver web designer working on a continuing report on who designed Barack Obama’s website. It seems that SimpleScott and Sender both have something to do with it…

If anyone learns more, please post it on my article, too!

Simplescott designed the website and Sender designed the logo. Now it’s being managed in-house.

Is it true that the founder of Netscape was helping Obama running online campaigns?

I just discovered this great interview with Sol Sender, designer of the Obama logo.
