What are some fun things to do for a weekend in St Louis, MO?

6 Flags Magic mountain…if it is not closed for the winter….

There’s an excellent video game museum in St. Louis. It was really awesome to play all those early 80’s stand-ups like Tempest, Robotron, Joust, Donkey Kong and so on . There is also a pretty cool aeronautics/space exploration museum (something like that anyway, I know there’s lots of flying stuff). Other than that they have excellent Vietnamese restaurants, so if you’re a fan of spicy Asian food don’t leave without visiting one – best Asian food I’ve ever had.

Went there for a week last year on an extremely limted budget. Loved the museums and the show we went to (Cirque de Soleil), but I don’t know if your kids would be up for that kind of thing.

One things for sure, avoid the Amtrak at night. Bad news bears on those trains.
