Any strange associations with smells?

Asked by sliceswiththings (11723points) December 3rd, 2009

When I started having sex it was in the mosquito-infested woods (working at summer camp) so bug spray was used in great quantities.

Bug spray will now forever smell like sex.

BUG SPRAY = SEX. ALL THE WAY.
Orange reminds me strongly of my ex.
His mom used to make orange cookies for Christmas, and it just stuck in my head.

@sliceswiththings It wasn’t exactly sex but there was some fooling around at church camp. It makes me laugh when I smell it now.

I associate the smell of mayonnaise with vomiting.

I associate a mild smell of sewage (I think that’s what it is) with Paris; my aunt used to live in the 18th Arrondissement, so, yeah.

That super heavy coconut suntan oil always reminds me of Saint Croix. I got the worst sunburn on my arms there! That oil does not block the sun!
