No, certainly not.

Welcome, @Steve_A. It’s much better here.

Yahoo! Answers has the delicious irony of posting questions I’m interested in having the answers to, and no useful answers.

Fluther actually provides an answer most of the time.

No way. Even our funny questions are funnier.

If you would really like to compare why don’t you post the same question on Yahoo Answers and wait for the responses. :)

Steve_A's avatar

No I dont care to compare I had meant if there were different rules or what have you.

Dog's avatar

We have guidelines over here.
I do not know what the rules are over there so I cannot help compare.

Have you checked the links at the bottom of every Fluther page? You can get a better understanding of Fluther if you take advantage of the information there.

You can find other people’s answers to this question here.

I heard somewhere (here on Fluther, actually) that YA only allows a certain number of responses to a post, making discussion pretty much out of the question. Lame.

Plus, we have awesome mods who weed out silly questions and offensive answers, keeping Fluther a happy, friendly place full of win! :D

Fluther is also prettier, don’t you think?

Definition of the word ‘yahoo’: Someone who is not very intelligent or not interested in culture or any brutish or vicious character.

Definition of the word ‘fluther’: A group of jellyfish, like a gaggle of geese or a taint of tilapia.

With whom do you want to swim?

Welcome to Fluther!

I can tell you this much, on Y! Answers, we would not be having the pleasant, safe-for-work, intelligent conversations we’re seeing in the following two questions:

- How would one stretch out their butt?

- Good gift ideas for a yankee swap?

no, yahoo sucks and fluther is awesome…

Oh by the seven hells, no.
