What do you assume you'll do before you die?

There are plans and there are hopes. And then there are just things we assume we’ll accomplish or visit, or experience.
What is it that you don’t even think about, you’re so sure it’s going to come to pass?

Theres been like 3 questions that ask similar things so I’ll just repeat an old answer.
I’d run to my crush’s house just before the end, tell her I loved her more than I loved anything else in my whole life, and that if there was life after this, Id like to spend it with her. Hug her, kiss her, and look into her eyes till we die.

@BoBo1946 I’m not planning on doing it anytime soon. If I was faced with a debilitating condition, that is my preferred exit. I refuse to give up my freedom or become dependant on others.

@stranger_in_a_strange_land I have something similar in mind. I’m going to do heroin, lots and lots of heroin. One thing I’m sure I won’t do is lay up in a hospital and rot by degree. My family would all be willing to put their lives on hold to care for me but I won’t let that happen. There is a limit to how burdensome I’m willing to be. They put up with my stupid jokes, they deserve a break.
I assume I will experience the 2 remaining items on my bucket list.
@erichw1504 You got me beat on that one! I’ll be 90, and nobody would let me on a spacecraft at that age. (Although, all 4 of my grandparents lived to be at least 90, and two are still alive in mid-90’s now. So you never know. Maybe I’ll be one of those really fit 90 year-olds, and they’ll make an exception for me. :-) )

I have always thought I had a responsibility or a destiny to change the world. At 48 I haven’t done it yet, but I am working on a few non profit ideas.

I assume I will get married and have children that outlive me. That’s about all I assume aside from trying to enjoy life.
There are many things I would hope to have accomplished before I die, but I can’t really say I “assume” I’ll do them; I never assume anything.
I’ve seen too many relatives live to great ages in a debilitated condition. If I can’t live independently and be making some contribution to the world, it’s time to go. Occupy my six feet of earth next to my beloved wife and make room for others.
I’ll continue to pay a lot more taxes. Probably more than necessary but it’s not up to me, unfortunately. I least I don’t think it is.
Put my affairs in order. (That would be a first.)
I don’t assume anything. I hope to have another child, get a PhD, live a long life with my husband, etc.

I don’t know. Only time ill tell, whether there’s much of it left for me, or little at all. There’s plenty of things I hope to do, but I can’t say I assume that I’ll do them, you never know what could happen, or not happen. As well, I’ve never set the looming hand of death as any kinda detrimental factor for any long term goals I may have.
Get over my fears and be who I am.
No assumptions here. All I know is I will live until I die.

@Judi It’s never too late to change the world. You don’t have to be a Mother Theresa or Ghandi, just take their advice. You can be the change. Big changes start small.

Thank you. I have had a number of issues that kept me away for a few months – career, health issues related to an accident, a death the extended family and the aftermath. All in hand now. Nice to be back.
