What are some events in South Korea in June?

Asked by johninttown (75points) February 24th, 2010

I’m going to South Korea this June for three weeks(June 7–29) and I’m looking for some events. Are there any festivals during this time? Is there a website that I can use to search for events(concerts, festivals, shows, etc….). Also, if you have any advice about travelling in South Korea then I’ll take that too.

@py sue Thank you! That looks like a pretty good website. I found a few events on there.

check this website:::
http://english.visitkorea.or.kr/enu/SI/SI_EN_3_2_2.jsp

and if you have Korean grocery stores or any Korean community centre near by..stop by and see if they got any tour guide booklets….they are usually free and have tons of information about city, events, and good restaurants..

FYI) the events you can find on internet is very limited (it is usually international events or sponsored by big companies or government)

where are you planning to stay (just seoul???)

@joon1986 Thank you for the suggestions! There’s a small Korean store in my town so I’ll check it out.
Besides Seoul, I’ll also spend time in Busan, Gyeongju, Daegu, and I may also go to Jeju Island for 2–3 days.

My parents went there only few month ago and they loved it~~~
