Can keylogger spies see what you are typing when you use your on-screen keyboard?

If your computer is infected with keylogger spyware, will using your on-screen keyboard defeat the little rascals?

I’m not sure if it would thwart software that key logs, but I’m sure that it would keep you safe from the hardware key loggers that plug into the back.

I was recently hacked and my hacker posted my password on a forum used by other hackers, along with a slew of other usernames and passwords. I found this when I googled my AIM user name and it popped up on google. I tracked my hacker down by signing up for the forum and sending his username messages. I had a chat with him. Since it comes from a hacker, who knows he could be a liar too. Still this seemed informative so I shall pass it along.

“_you have asked me How I did it??
with an stealer, even now on the web there are many people like me.
now I have not worked with it and posting clean software,I notice that I get caught at least ones a week with some stealer or keylogger.

How to prevent this?

get keyscrambler and install it,then your save for keyloggers.
get VMware or Sandboxie and run your new downloaded software, games ect first it there, then your 99% sure that you don`t get a stealer in your pc.
Never store any password on your pc,just the sitepage and username.
change ones in a while your passwords.

thats it

Not every day you have a chummy talk with your hacker. I thought it was revealing. I don’t know the answer but thought my hacker’s information might be helpful to you.

No, it cant.

Kapersky Internet Security actually utilizes onscreen keyboarding software in order to maximize their security.

Virus programs like this cant actively see what you are clicking on (it would slow down the computer too noticeably for this to be practical)

@Imagineer So it is prudent to use the on-screen keyboard when visiting sensitive (money) sites like your bank, paypal etc…?

I would consider this to be good practice, but dont call me on it haha. The best practice is to just keep anti virus up to date and avoid downloads until you have confirmed the file from someone else.

I think not yet. I’m using ProtecMac KeyBag PRO(the last version) and it tells that it cannot see onscreen typing.
