I would suggest you look up the word subjective. Sweden might be best for someone. The United States might be best for other people. There is no best.

It is kinda like asking if you prefer, ranch, mayonnaise, of katsup on your French Fries..

My opinion leans toward France, based on the criteria that matters to me (before anyone attacks me for that)

India is the best. Where by “best” I mean has the most languages on the currency.

And delirium… Iceland is fucking amazing. If you can go you should… I was there a few years ago. Amazing. Expensive as hell.. But Amazing if you are into hippie nature stuff.

Why are more poeple trying to get in to the USA than get out if we are not the best

I had a feeling your question was fishing for a “patriotic” answer. More people are trying to get into the UK than out, too. Does that mean it’s the best? The same goes for Canada, Australia, and most European nations.

Maybe it would help if you clarified your criteria for “best”?

Maybe because the US has one of the biggest differences in per capita income form it’s closest neighbor also because since millions of immigrants to Mexico then look to migrate to the US.

It’s my reaction to the recent stream of seemingly innocuous questions that really are platforms to spout conservative views. I don’t have a problem with conservative views being expressed, but if I’m going to be tricked into a sermon, however brief, then the trickery is going to be reciprocated.

I’m with you, kevbo, although I’m probably as guilty as anyone of this kind of rhetorical device. I’ve yet to really be called on it, though. :-)

The U.S. is a free country, so of course you can express your opinion. What you can’t do is expect other people to blindly jump on your bandwagon. It seems like you got defensive when people didn’t agree with you. I’m moving to guatemala

I live in the UK. We whinge on and on about the place but I adore it really and can’t imagine living anywhere else. It’s a fantastic nation and it’s people are so varied.
I think the best country is the one you live in longest. It’s just a shame we all have to have passports and so many regulations to move freely between them.

So, oneye36… What made you choose Guatemala? Why would you leave the U.S. if it’s the “best country on the planet”? (I’m not trying to be smart. As someone who decided to leave the United States, I’m genuinely curious about why others choose to do the same.)

I live in England and its great, we have all the things that America has without the idiotic gun laws, plus we’re nearer to amsterdam, which is the best place on earth if your a pot head like me.
