Is there a way to search for old unread emails on hotmail?

Yes, I know nobody uses hotmail anymore, but I do. I’m a creature of habit. The last version of hotmail had all unread emails listed on the home screen, so I got in the habit of tagging emails as “unread” if I wanted to refer to them later. The newer version doesn’t have that feature, so those old emails are buried somewhere deep in my inbox. Do you know of a way to search my inbox just for unread emails? I asked hotmail’s online tech support, and they answered the wrong question.
