Can you recommend a good spa in NYC?

I"m not looking for the "facial and manicure" type spa--I'm looking for more of a (very clean) Turkish bath or relaxing asian spa. Does this kind of thing exist in NYC? In San Francisco we have the Kabuki spa, a korean spa, and the Osento Bathhouse for women...that's the kind of thing I'm looking for in NYC (but someplace clean enough and non-sexual enough to take your mother--i.e. not a lesbian pick-up spot.) I seem to recall reading about a Russian bathhouse but it was way out in Queens somewhere; something in Manhattan would be best.
