Adjectives for Pastries?

Asked by tonystubblebine (93points) | asked March 23rd, 2008 | 1 response | “Great Question” (1points) | Flag as…

We’re having a Hot Cross Bun competition this morning and I was wondering what adjectives you could use to describe the buns. What if pastry connoisseurs had a snooty language for rating pastries the way wine connoisseurs do? Would they say the bun has a brooding complexity with a smooth cinnamon finish. What else could you say?

I would use words to describe the beauty of the combination of flavors.

Beautiful, wonderful, superb, and so on.

I don’t think that pastry connoisseurs have a special language, but watching cooking competitions, the good things quite often have to do with the beauty of it all.
