Regarding your answer:
I’ve thought of that sort of approach, but my Mom can/will argue with a signpost….everybody is wrong, doesn’t understand….etc. She has no respect for even the opinion of professionals. Therapy was useless because there had to be SOME reason why the therapist couldn’t understand her perspective. It is exhausting trying to reason with her. That is why she is a lonely person with no life. Unfortuately she cannot see that it is her fault and I cannot figure out a way to empower her so that she can change her perspective and see the joy life has to offer instead of suffering. Thank you for commenting, I appreciate and consider all opinions.
Thanks for answering the question. Your experience through infant baptism reminded me of a Hebrew child that is circumcised as an infant. Surly, if that is the definition of what it means to be a Jew, than there is no memory of what has gone before. It just has always been, right?
I love that little story. My wife who is a ” Kiwi ” from NZ quite often say’s when I order coffee or such, I’ll translate for him as the waiter/waitress has a blank look on their face!
I on the other hand when food or drink arrives quite often say, I didn’t order this? but usually it’s just because of the funny way I talk…
Good onya Grisson.
