  “Well, that’s a bit like saying we can’t understand our own minds.” Well…. that is, EXACTLY, what I was saying. Not just a bit. We have two very different perspectives.

  Yes. If that were true. Which also implies mentally handicap people (having a physical disadvantage compared to the majority) don’t need to talk to others about what they are feeling.

  Is it possible to pinpoint and fix your own problems w/out shrinks?

  No. I do not think that you can ‘pinpoint’ any of your own emotions, unless you are aware of your own subconscious. Which no one is. You, can’t specifically locate reason behind any of your own feelings like that. Pin point is really a bad term. No one can “pin point” feelings. I would not suggest you go out and get some self help books or any other kind of self help(of you alone trying to help yourself). I think most people, (if not any person, ever) need another person to help them figure out themselves. Its all about perspective. They are able to help you because they are not you. They see you very differently than you see yourself. It’s a good thing, too. A professional psychiatrist or counselor is a great idea, as long as you just keep in mind, that a lot of doctors in that field are prescription-happy. You are not a machine, you shouldn’t be prescribed meds right off the bat. It takes a while to try to understand a person. Id say if your counselor recommends you meds within three evaluations, immediately get another doctor. If you truly want growth, go seek professional help, from someone who specializes in helping you. People can only help guide you. Not fix you.

  If you could change one thing about your life, what would it be?

  You are not a thing, but we all help statistics share some validity. They are based off of us, they are us. We are not statistics. I would love to think that changing any of the mistakes I’ve made would help me. It would give me a sense of control over my life, BIG TIME. Yet I am not convinced not anything would actually change for the better or better than my “old” life and decisions I made. I would choose them all over again, in different situations. My life would essentially be the same as my life before I chose to change it. I needed to make mistakes in order to grow from them and learn not do them again. Life is painful sometimes. Making mistakes and causing pain is just inevitable.

  @daloon So would you say you agree with me then? That we are unable to understand the purpose or lack of, because we are biased by our human intelligence? We are going to try and define GOD in our human understanding of what we think it is. Which wouldn’t make sense for us to attempt because if it is GOD we as humans, wont even be able to start accurately defining him.
