  Smokers why did you start smoking?

  Started because it was cool and peer pressure. Stopped because I didn’t want my kids to see me smoke and think it was ok. Haven’t smoked for 16 years. Eldest son now 17.

  If you drink alcohol: Does it make you uncomfortable if the person/people you are with aren't drinking also?

  Other than some of the obvious ones, what are your best job interview tips?

  Build rapport – try to find out the culture and fit with it. People tend to hire personalities similar to themselves. Don’t be so good you appear to be a threat to your potential boss. Try to get an example that has you doing the job. The interviewer then gets a mental image of you actually in the role. Without going to bizarre: be unforgettable – particularly if you are a first candidate in a number of interviews. Good luck (not a tip – just me wishing you good luck :-)

  Getting Things Done Application?

  Thanks to vereyone for their answers so far. Really helpful.. A couple of things I’ve come across…. Many of the offline apps use Gears (RTM in particular). Gears have never worked consistently for me – even with the Chrome browser. I’m afraid I’m a Firefox person so I need offline that isn’t Gears based. The RTM web interface doesn’t work for me and the fact that the google gadget redirects to the website to add notes isn’t good (but still – RTM is one of the best….). I like Toodledo for it’s goals and contexts and so on – RTM doesn’t come close to this but the lack of offline is a problem. Todoist is simple. But too simple for me (but I do like te task hierarchy – it’s neat). I guess I’ve just gone back round in circles again…......
