I was born a poor black child.. wait, that’s the opening line from the Steve Martin movie, The Jerk. I was born and raised in the Midwest, and despite the stereotype prevalent with that part of the country, it is the best place I have ever lived, and the geography and history here intrigues me daily. Anywhere you can call home is paradise.

I am an Evelynist, and our tenet is “Life is about choices, your results may vary.”

massage, juicing, cooking, baking, writing and reading fiction, sexuality in all its varied forms, macro photography, sharing, jazz and classical music, telling jokes and making people smile, bugs and spiders, growing hostas, Halloween, amateur music composition, gardening, hot peppers, wine, collecting unusual hot sauces, trucks, heavy equipment, geology, US geography, world history, thanking military veterans for their service and sacrifice, raising Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches, spider myths, candle making, being an arachnophile, and pretty much anything that sparks my curiosity or makes me feel needs to be done for the overall good of those around me. In other words, if it aint sports or religious zealotry, I like it.
