When my Mother In Law was at that age and still working, she made it a point to discuss her continued employment with her boss, and offered to work for reduced benefits. They kept her on until she chose to retire.
One issue was a change over from hand bookkeeping to a computer. Luckily, both her children were fully computer literate, and were available on a daily basis to help answer her questions. Several older workers left because they couldn’t handle the new technology.
