  ok… so I have done more tests. My neighbor has Embarq so I tried it at her house… the ps3 connected beautifully and with no hang ups. So I took the router from her house and connected it to my modem. It had the same problem it’s always had. I’m pretty sure that it’s something with my ISP. I’m going to give them a call and try to switch out my modem. If that doesn’t work, I guess it’s time for a house call. I’ll keep updating so if anyone else has this same problem they can be pointed in the right direction.

  Why does my PS3 hate my Broadband connection?

  I would like to think that it’s the PS3’s fault (that problem would be easily fixed), but as I mentioned earlier it has the same problem on 2 PS3s. As this is not a problem on any of my friends PS3s I would have to assume that it’s a problem with the PS3 communicating through my network. My next step will be to take this PS3 and bring it over to someone else’s house and test it there.
