  How to keep toddlers entertained?

  Something that worked well w/my kids as toddlers is to give them stuff like measuring cups, spoons, etc. to play with. Anything like that, as long as they can’t hurt themselves… funnels, small containers w/lids, wooden spoons… basically anything safe that the toddler knows isn’t a toy.

  Has anybody had weird experiences after someone close to you dies?

  I remember when I was a kid, hearing my mom & aunt talking about something very similar. It involved my aunt waking in the night & her father (my Grampa, deceased) sitting on the foot of her bed. I’m sorry I don’t remember more detail. :-(

  What's the weirdest family tradition either side of your family celebrates?

  @Mamradpivo that does sound fun, actually. @kellylet Some stations still play it; I’ve heard it on in the last year or two. I don’t have any weird tradition, I don’t think, but one year for Thanksgiving we had lasagna, to the great dismay of my children.

  Do you have any cranberry sauce recipes?

  Ingredients * 1 c sugar * ½ c ruby port wine * ½ c water * 12 oz bag cranberries, washed & picked over * 1” stick cinnamon * 3 whole cloves * app. ¾ c frozen raspberries Directions 1. Combine sugar, wine, and water in saucepan & bring to boil. Stir till sugar dissolves. 2. Add cranberries, cinnamon, and cloves. 3. Reduce heat to med-low and cook till cranberries start to pop, about 8 min. Continue cooking while crushing berries against the side of the pan. 4. Remove from heat and stir in raspberries. Let cool 30 min. 5. Put in storage container and chill for 8 hours or more or till set.
