  Anyone successful in setting up a shared hard drive for iTunes using AEBS?

  it could be a slow Internet connection. The ISP’s usually have multiple speeds you can sign up for so you may have broadband Internet but be on the low side compared to the faster speeds they offer. Or is your router a wireless b or g? G would help it a little bit if you don’t already have one.

  Can I use my I-chat on my Macbook Pro to chat with non-mac friends?

  I didn’t know you could use skype to video chat! I do know that you can video chat with people with people using aim on windows, but they need to be the person to request it and have to have one if the newest versions of aim. You can only use an aim or .mac account on iChat, but if you just want to chat with someone using MSN (without video) you can get the program adium at adium.com which is what I use. It can handle just about any kind of chatting account type but no video.
