Cheeb, I copied this brief explanation from th school program I am considering (The New School):
“Creative arts therapists integrate the modalities of music, drama, the visual arts, and dance/movement into the practice of psychotherapy in a variety of clinical settings.”

A creative arts therapist uses one or more of these modalities to provide help to people who have endured psychological trauma (spousal abuse, sex crimes, addictions, acts of God -such as what the children and their families went through with Katrina. I do photography (and some painting) and would like to apply that knowledge to help people through therapy.
