  Should a parent allow their teen to have sex in the house rather than behind their back?

  My parents were absolutely against me having sex at all—and would definitely not have condoned it in their house, especially. I wanted to have sex, but didn’t because I didn’t have a place to and was not willing to do it in a car or something.. So, I would say, no—parents do not need to supply a place for their kids to do that. That’s what college dorm rooms are for… Let them have the luxury of the awkward conversation with the roommate instead :)

  Tonsil stones anyone?

  I had this problem, mixed with mild tonsilitis that came once to twice a year. I went to the doctor, and struggled to explain what the problem was—he said, as many have said, that they are nothing to be concerned about—but, a week later, he took my tonsils out anyways. Knock on wood, I have not been sick or had a sore throat since* (February). Don’t be afraid of a tonsilectomy—I was back at school six days later and at a competitive scholarship interview the next day.

  How can I get over being homesick?

  @Pat_thebear89 It’s weird because I can’t eat.. nothing sounds good to me and I don’t get up early enough to watch tv. My roommate and I quietly get ready and then go to class… I’m in class all day… Do homework… Go eat (often with people that I don’t really like or feel like I belong with) Do more work… Sit on facebook for a little while… and then go to bed. I’m not sure where the fun part comes in :( yet I don’t remember what I did at home that was different and made me happier. It’s just a strange feeling like I don’t know where I want to be because I don’t feel like I’d fit anywhere at this point.

  How can I get over being homesick?

  @packersgirl4 I’ve found that keeping super busy—while very tiring—at least keeps my mind off of things. And, try to do things that you did at home that made you feel good. I feel like a loser, but all I really want to do is shut my door and watch some tv at night instead of partying Thurs-Sunday. I’m just trying to find a place where I fit in and a happy medium. I’m sure you’ll get there—lots of kids do it, so I figure it’ll happen eventually! Good luck
