My scenario is more complicated: I’m running a JavaScript component (FCKEditor) inside my application that is running under the XULRunner user agent, which poses limitations on opening dialogs. So, I’m required to grant my script privileges, before doing window.open. I just wanted to do it transparently without modifying the JavaScript component code.
