Mother of a daughter and three cats. Wish I didn’t have to work for a living. In a perfect world, i’d be daydreaming all day.

Happy Mother’s Day! :)
I have a temporary computer…HURRAH!!
So anyway – the hitting thing… It’s been quite clear to me for some time, that the more i am in a bad mood, shouting, stomping, generally being not very peaceful; the more my son kicks up and causes me headaches. The bad behaviour in my son also emanates from me not spending enough time with him playing, reading, singing to him etc. i think they need your time and attention (in balance of course) and when they have this they feel sated.
However, even when i am my most peaceful and calm collected self there are still thigns that he cannot have exactly when he wants them and therefore he kicks out, hits me and throws himself on the floor. As i said before i tried lot of things… and really the only thing that has seemed to work consistently has been ignoring the lashes out at me… me not fighting back or shouting “NO!” at him when he does naughty things, seems to diffuse the situation completely and he’ll wander off and get on with something else. It’s amazing.
He has tried to increase the pain…i.e. started biting instead of hitting to get a reaction, but again (as painful as it was ) i didn’t react and he didn’t try this tactic again. My motto, peace not war, disarm them with silence… and i think that would work in many a conflict…not just with children.
Regarding your answer:
Good maintenance is the key. The cost for the replacement system depends on the soil and the groundwater. $20,0000 is a good average estimate.
If your system did fail, you may want to get a better understanding of what to do.
Here is a link to a site where you can get a free pamphlet that gives a good step by step outline on what to do. http://www.pmpassoc.com/septic_system_pdf_form.htm
Happy Christmukkah!
