jerv’s story
After nearly six years of wise-cracking on Answerbag, taking over the Computer and Auto sections, debating politics and religion, and generally doing my thing, I decided it was time to move on, so here I am!
In a former life, I was an Electricians Mate in the US Navy, but much of my time since then has been spent in the manufacturing industry, usually as a machinist.
I like to make snarky remarks and can occasionally get a little wild, but I’m generally a nice guy; I only bite if you are asking to be bitten.

Regarding this
O master, we must hang out, and you must teach me your ways.

Hey there Jerv, do you know the answer to this question?
My wife downloads music via Vuze on her current laptop. Birp.FM only releases their playlists through torrents. So can iPad handle such a program? Thanks.

Thanks for the link. I read the referenced article by Mann and Ornstein, but hadn’t seen this. I just hope enough people catch on and soon.

Regarding your answer:
OK, so I bought an “active” PS/2 to USB adapter made by StarTech, and it works great! Thank you @jerv for the information about the difference between active and passive adapters!!
