  How do torrent files with "Magnet links" work?

  I’ve heard about it to, but I’m not exactly sure how it works. I believe these magnet links use DHT and PEX to connect to peers and download the file. I only know this little from this article on TorrentFreak

  You didn’t specify what MacBook you have but if it has firewire, just get a firewire cable (very cheap from monoprice), boot the MacBook into target disk mode (by holding the T key when it starts up), plug it into your new MacBook Pro and copy over your data.

  What happens if I want to get a new phone but my contract isn't expired?

  How recently? I think Verizon gives you 30 days to exchange the phone (this is a vague memory from 2 years ago when I got my phone). Otherwise you can pay full price for a new phone and if you buy it through Verizon your contract may renew.
