(921 points) What’s score?
Hello, I'm Davey, 13 years old. Despite my age, I'm very good with computers. I'm the whiz-kid at home, which I like, but sometimes don't. Hope I can help!

The lightbulb question is an old joke, usually of the form “How many __________ does it take to change a light bulb”

As someone stated, the first version was “How many psychiatrists does it take to change a lightbulb?” the answer is “One, but how does he know the light bulb wanted to be changed?” That answer plays on the word “change”. To change, as with a light bulb, means to replace. But change itself, could mean modifying one’s personal ideas/behavior. Since the first joke, it has spiraled out of control, so that there is almost a version of the joke for every profession. I think that user was just making a joke.
