It is true that most honest hunters want stricter game laws. It was the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and Pheasants Forever that were the driving forces behind getting SD to strenghten its wanton waste law from a misdemeanor to a felony.
Peta tried to take credit for it and almost got it voted down. The only reason it didn’t get shot down was the hunter harrassment laws that were attached also. This made PETA’s most common tactics out here felonies also.
